National Championship Success

On the 27th and 28th October 2018 Focus Taekwondo participated in the British Championships, taking a team of 10 athletes over the 2 days.

Focus Taekwondo gained 4 new National medalist, Humairah (Gold), Coby (Silver), Laura (Bronze) and Terri (Bronze).

We can not forget the rest of the team that was apart of the success, Reuben, Ellison, Chris, Lewis, Muhammed and Haleemah. The tournament was spread over 2 days Saturday for the Novice athletes and Sunday was the Advance athletes time to shine.

The tournament was held in Sheffield at the English Institute of sport with over 700 competitors some of which was Team GB members from the Olympic academy.

Focus Taekwondo gain National medalists

Focus Taekwondo gained 4 new National medalist over the Weekend of 16th and 17th September! The team took 6 competitors to the championships and came away with a record 4 medals!

Throughout the year Focus Taekwondo compete in domestic and international competitions on a regular basis, on an average attending competitions at the very least once a month. All these competitions are in the build up for the main event of the year ‘The British National Championships’. Last year we took a team of 6 just like this year but we gained one extra medal! It was also harder this year due to some players moving up age groups, weight groups, and up int the advanced category! Focus Taekwondo Summer Camp

Focus Teakwondo held their first ever summer camp on the 31st July – 4th August 2017. A total of 14 children from the ages of 4-11 years old took part in the camp which was a huge success.

The summer camp was run from Monday 31st July – Friday the 4th August from 9am – 3pm, with activities such as Taekwondo, Little Kickers, Games, Face Painting, Paper Mache, Paining and Arts and Crafts as well as a visit from Halifax West Yorkshire Police for a show and tell the camp was a great success.  Read more
